November 2006. As my year draws to a close, I am only starting to be able to look back in wonder at the many people and experiences which made my title year what it was. I don't want to write anything like a step-down speech here, but I have been privileged to see so many segments of the leather communities doing everything so very well - from activism, to education, to fundraising...to hell-raising! ;) |

Summer 2006. August 20th, 2006, I won the title of Mr. Boston Leather 2006. The main contest sponsors were the Boston Ramrod and its resident leather shop, the PX. This has been a great year - or rather, year and a quarter, since the 2007 contest was moved from August into November. I have traveled a lot, met a lot of new people, and deepened friendships with leather people of all orientations and lifestyles. Many of my activities consisted of education and outreach, and I also took time to prepare to compete in the International Mr. Leather contest at the end of May in Chicago. I was proud to represent Boston, and accomplished my goal of making the top twenty finalists round - with room to spare! |
